Day 2 at El Nido: Combi Island Hopping Tour A and B

Tour A
Big Lagoon - just taking photos here where you can see big rocks.
The big lagoon is a bay carved into the island, with dazzlingly clear water and corals below; pointed limestone cliffs tower above you as you drift into the lagoon.

Small Lagoon - you have to swim so you'll appreciate more the small lagoon (snorkel)
The smaller lagoon offers better snorkeling conditions. Another cove can be entered from this lagoon, although with some difficulty; at low tide, a four-foot gap in the cliff lets avid snorkelers into a cliff-lined chamber that feels entirely like another world.

Simizu Island
WHERE YOU CAN SNORKEL AND SWIM IN THE MIDDLE :)
We didnt stay too long cause of big waves and rainy.

Secret Lagoon
South of Miniloc Island, Simizu Island and its compact white-sand beach is a picnic favorite for both locals and tourists. The corals around Simizu are healthy for now, providing a nice home for a good variety of marine life. The beach is surrounded by limestone outcrops, and a limestone islet sits right across the shore.

7 Commandos Beach
Seven commandos beach got its name after the 7 US commandos died on the beach after infected by severe malaria in 1980’s. Presently, it is one of the stops when going for a tour to El Nido.

TOUR B
Entalula Island
It is a perfect example of a tropical island because of its fine white sand lined with palm trees on the side. It is a good place for picnics, swimming or just for pure relaxation. Recently, it is turned into a rock climbing site so you can never get bored if you want a more adventurous activity.
Entalula Island – El Nido, Palawan

Pangulasian Island
Pangalusian Island’s wide stretches of powdery white sand is very ideal in beach activities. Some of those are sun bathing, sunset viewing and many more. Its front waters are clustered with various coral reefs making it ideal for snorkeling and diving activities as well.

Snake Island - sand bar
Vigan Island is more popular to tourist by its name “Snake Island” because of its s-shaped sandbar that is only visible when the tide is low. On both of its sides are shallow swimming areas.

Cathedral Cave - historical cave where some Japanese found some golds here before and where they hid.

Pinagbuyutan Island
Pinagbuyutan Island has a magnificent view from the top because of its shape and vertically aligned limestone walls. It also has a beach area where you can do swimming and picnics.

PALAWAN 2014 ( Tay Miloy's Inn - Cheapest Lodging in El Nido Palawan)

In Philippines, the month of June is the start of classes and rainy season but for me, its the start of my summer! :) its time to travel to Palawan!

It only takes an hour to travel to Puerto Princesa from manila through a Plane. When we arrived at Puerto Princesa airport, it was so crowded because it wasnt that spacious enough but yes a lot of tourist are going there (local and foreigner). Their language used is filipino and their dialect is tagalog.

We took a van going to El Nido, since they said van takes only 4 to 5 hours while bus takes 5 to 6 hours. To cut the story short, some drivers will tell you to take a van from them and you are about to go. unfortunately it was a lie, we waited for 2 hours and it disappoint me cause i was so tired and the driver keeps going to his relatives that are on the way. I cant imagine how inconvenient he brought to us. There's a stopover where you can have you meal. (Bus has 2 stopovers and Van has 1 stopover). At last, van dropped us in the tricycle terminal. It's a 50 pesos ride from there to Tay Miloy's Inn.

The CHEAPEST ROOM ACCOMMODATION IN EL NIDO PALAWAN that we had.
The care taker named Rodrigo ( I call him Kuya Rod-to give respect as well) was so nice and accommodate us completely. As what we booked, a fan room with common bathroom= What you pay is what you get! Though its not bad for a night to sleep for a couple or backpacker. However we transferred to the aircon room :) its the cheapest room i knew in El Nido.

Fan room with shared bathroom (no breakfast) = 500/night (good for 2pax)
Air conditioned room with private bathroom (no breakfast) = 800/night (good for 2 pax)
Air conditioned room with private bathroom (no breakfast) = 1200/night (good for 4 pax)

This is how Tay Miloy's Inn look

MICROECONOMICS

| BSP: Monetary Board Cuts Policy Rates

The BSP should cut the policy rate because the inflation rate which is 2.8 is lower than the 3-5 percent target of the government. Lower interest rates serve as an incentive to attract investments and borrowers so that money would not be stagnant. More investments would come and it would trigger the economy to boom for example more employment would be available, more development would be done and more there will be uplift in the economic condition of the country that will benefit all of its stakeholders and stockholders so  that we are not dependent to other economy. ”Latest baseline forecasts indicate that inflation is likely to settle within the lower half of the 3% to 5% target for 2012 and 2013, as pressures on global community prices are seen to continue to abate amid weaker global growth prospects," it added. The monetary officials' decision was not exactly a surprise after BSP Governor Amado Tetangco hinted that the continuing low inflation provides room for a rate cut.

Policy makers watch inflation since low interest rates tend to make money easier and borrowing cheaper, thus there is more money in an economy. As a textbook altruism, people tend to spend more when an economy is awash with money, in effect driving up the cost of goods and services. Low interest rates are meant to spur economic growth by encouraging businesses to borrow for their expansion needs, and for citizens to invest in capital assets, including cars and real estate properties. Therefore, given the circumstances and factors affecting the cut in policy rates will be slightly/moderately dependent on the value arising from inflation rate and the factors coming from the unstable global economy.

Furthermore, the Philippines deserve a positive investment grade rating. Philippine economic development is very visible on line with the positive expectation with the current administration.

  1. It would attract more foreign investments. Because the foreign investors wants a good rating before they invest in the country.
  2. It would boost your currency. The upgrade has already propelled the Philippine peso to 41.72 against the US dollar, the local currency’s strongest showing in four years.
  3. The credit upgrade increases the likelihood that the Philippine economy would grow bigger this year compared to last year.

On the positive note positive credit rating can drive job-generating foreign direct Investments, lift incomes, and reduce poverty and that a country is strong and stable and have a confidence that debt would be settle with not much big issues. But this rating can be abuse just like the cause of recession in America wherein they use their asset in many loans and soon after they collapse. Credit rating is a countries asset to borrow money in international community, if this borrowing will not be mobilized properly. It can be abuse and leads to a bigger problem just like before with the time of Marcos. On the negative note since credit rating determines country’s stability overseas transaction may also be affected in a positive side its good but on the other hand this might trigger to OFWs remittance transaction which we all know that it is one of the Philippine’s pillars of economics stability and growth. Last, the gross international reserves (GIR) which indicates a country’s wealth of foreign exchange and determines its ability to pay for imported goods, pay debts to foreign creditors and engage in other commercial transactions with the rest of the world and the Philippines GIR reached a record high of about $77 billion earlier this year. But with the other developing countries starting to have recession just like US and Europe the GIR may collapse greatly and will immediately decline economic activity. If your grade rating is positive many investor will be investing in our country and many Filipino citizen will have works and it will boost our economy.

ENTERING COLLEGE LIFE

First year of college is the chapter of our life that we never know what to choose and decide.  We always wish and hope for successful. We always think of the future. A short narrative from mine to share; I don’t have a choice but to choose BS ACCOUNTANCY in San Beda College cause for me it is the only course which is best when talking about careers in the future, obviously aside from LAW.

Here comes my first day in class, meeting new friends and feeling close to them. I don’t know why but to where section I belong is the finest and superlative I’ve been through. They are not selfish in terms of grades; yet they share their answer even in Midterms Exam still in FINALS. We believe COLLEGE is not all about high grades it is concerning of passing the subjects and major. We don’t crave for FLAT 1 (UNO) grade but hoping to get at least 3 (TRES). Tres is equivalent to 75-77% and uno is for 97-100%. My journey in the field of Accountancy was never been tough for me because i had my block mates. I passed cause of their help and answers. My first semester grade in Accounting was 2 (dos) which is a 85% and above. I don’t have difficulties and worries in proceeding to next semester which i got the grade of 2.75 equivalent to 78 up. Actually, I failed in our qualifying exam for 2nd year, which we called PAPAT.
Next chapter is my 2nd year life. I don’t want to tell something bad about it but I miss my friends in Manila. Yes, I don’t stay in Manila anymore for the reason of moving in Davao. My father’s work is in Davao so I had no choice but to transfer and move. I took BS ACCOUNTANCY and pursue it in Ateneo De Davao University. The hell i don’t wish for this and it makes me sick day after day. Everything changed; i don’t spend  time in alcohol drinks and party but rather staying home and studying Accounting. Now, I am having a hard time on adjusting in my study habits. If before it took me 1 hour to study but lately, I need 1 day to understand what Im studying. My grades are not good; my efforts weren’t enough. I used to say “I WANT TO GIVE UP NOW” but why my friends in San Beda keeps on telling me “NO, KAYA NATIN TO. WALANG SUSUKO!” then ill answer them “Kwatro (4=below 75%) ang grade ko sa Midterm ng Accounting, sinong hindi mawawalan ng hope”. I guess I need to strike hard and put more efforts. Currently I am so depressed and disappointed of myself. I don’t continue BSA cause I wanted but because of my friends’ wants. We will never give up until the end. People who choose to quit and surrender are the ones who cannot finish the starting line.

ill be updating my blog next time.

"Past is Past"

Strongly bad past
How do we define past? The experiences we’ve been through; the struggles and happiness we felt or the moments we captured by our hearts that we never had moved on.  The saying “past is past” is what mostly people tell to broken hearted. It might be sounds annoying of the repeating quote but I guess it is also a helpful manner for a woman/man.
Boys easily forget or stop thinking about what they have done. They even easily move ahead from the “past”. However, girls also easily forgive a man’s mistake but it will take a long long time to forget the “past” especially when pain arouses. It was never been easy for a girl to take risk and give second chances if not third or fourth time. Same with the feelings of a guy it’s too hard for them to accept the fact that they were jerked by a gal. But why both of them still gives chances? For the reason of “past is past” so we tend to forget and forgive? Otherwise giving chances it is because a person is ready to take all the risk how to trust AGAIN. I guess I’m wrong, a wo/man gives chances cause he/she trusts that person can change in a better way. It is not because we are so obsessed with that someone but we are believing on the capacity of that person to right his/her mistakes. Once we decide of giving chances, never regret instead be happy on loving each other.
Always buried all the negative films from past but brings up the positive pictures until the end of time. Move forward, past doesn’t matter at all. The most important is how you deal with your present today.
